Marta Ramos

Marta (Rosado) Ramos, 72, of Worcester, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at UMass Hospital in Worcester.

Marta is survived by three daughters, with former husband Jose. M Ramos, Linda Ramos of Worcester, Esmeralda Valois and her husband Raymond of Shrewsbury, and Enid Ramos of Worcester; five grandchildren, Kassandra Stevens, Jose Ramos, Cecilia Rudy, Christian and Ariana Valois, two brothers, Angel Cruz and Jesus Padilla, both of Worcester; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four siblings, Hector Padilla, Migdalia Padilla, Rosa Burgos, and Luis Padilla. Marta was born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, daughter of Justo Rosado and Mercedes (Cruz) Padilla.

Marta worked for many years as a CNA at the Saint Francis Home in Worcester, retiring in 1987. She had previously worked as a teacher’s aide in the Worcester School System, primarily at Saint Nicholas Ave School. She was currently enrolled at Sarah Adult Day, where she enjoyed daily activities and made many new friends. She also loved her family and adored her grandchildren.

Calling Hours will be on Friday, March 28, from 10 am until her Funeral Service begins at 12 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Interment will follow at Hope Cemetery in Worcester.
