Mary (Papale) Andresano

It is with sadness and gratitude for her long and wonderful life we announce the passing of Mary (Papale) Andresano, 98, of Tucson Arizona (formerly of Worcester), who passed away peacefully November 4, 2023 in Tucson.

Mary was born on April 25, 1925, one of eight children of Italian immigrants,  Francesco and Luisa (Avenia) Papale. She met and married the love of her life, Frank R. Andresano on October 11, 1947.  They then built a life raising their children with immense love, faith and devotion. Mary and Frank with their family moved to Arizona in 1961 and returned very often to visit. Her dear husband and father Frank passed away in 1992 in Tucson.    

Mary leaves her two children, Ralph & Janene Andresano of McKinney, Texas and Thomas Hall & Linda Andresano-Hall of Tucson, Arizona, many many nieces, nephews and friends. The last surviving of eight siblings, she was predeceased by her parents and sisters, Theresa Papale (at age 3 yrs), Gloria Billings, Louise Stucchi and Rita Dunlop, and brothers, Frank Papale Jr, Nicola (Nick) Papale and Mario Papale.

Mry had a lifetime of wonderful experiences with family and friends. She cherished her Italian heritage, and enjoyed sharing the holidays and special occasions with her family. She loved the ocean from a very young age, family vacations, time with her family, cooking and baking her Italian specialties and pastries. Mary will be remembered for her warmth, compassion, affection, distinctive style and the love she shared with ALL.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours Friday, November 24th from 4 pm to 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Her funeral will be held Saturday, November 25th from the funeral home with a procession to St Anne's Church, 130 Boston Turnpike Rd. Shrewsbury where her funeral mass will be held at 10 am.  Entombment will be in St John’s Mausoleum.
