Mary L. (Dunn) Covello, 83 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Rose Monahan Hospice Residence.
Mary was born on December 14, 1937 in Long Beach, California, the daughter of the late Dean E. and Florence D. (Ladrie) Dunn, Sr. She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester and has lived there most of her life. Mary worked as a bank teller for W.C.I.S and Mechanics Bank for many years. She was also a lab technician at Memorial Hospital.
Mary was a faithful and longtime member of Christ the King Church where she served as a eucharistic minister and actively involved in the bereavement committee and the church decorating committee. She enjoyed gardening and weeding and cooking.
Mary’s husband of 41 years, Richard G. Covello passed away in 2002. She is survived by her son, Richard T. Covello of Worcester; a brother, Dean E. Dunn, Jr. of Bremerton, WA.; nieces and nephews including Timothy Dunn, his wife Jeanne and their family of Kennebunk, ME, Debra (Dunn) Wright and her family of Keene, NH, Patricia (Dunn) Walz and her husband George of Bremerton, WA and Deanna Decker, her husband Kevin and their family of Callahan, FL.; a brother-in-law, George Perry of Shrewsbury. Mary’s daughter, Lorrinda Covello passed on October 21, 2020. She is also predeceased by a brother, Victor T. Dunn.
Due to the current health regulations, Services for Mary will be held privately. She will be buried in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
