Mary L. Giacobbi

Mary L. (Sclamo) Giacobbi, age 74 of Worcester passed away Monday, September 27, 2021, in UMass Memorial Medical Center with loved ones gathered by her side.

Mary was born and raised in Worcester, the daughter of Joseph V. Sclamo, Sr. and Dorothy (Racienski) Sclamo.  She graduated from South High School.  Mary worked as a Shipping & Receiving Clerk for General Electric for many years.

Mary leaves her devoted partner of 40 years, Patricia Mallett; two sons, Robert A. Giacobbi and James M. Giacobbi and his wife Dawn of Worcester; a daughter, Tracy Giacobbi and her husband Joseph Horn of TX; four brothers, Stephen, Joseph Jr., Marc and Michael Sclamo all of Worcester; three sisters, Patricia Hewins, Joanne Mallett and Donna Sclamo; eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was a dedicated mother who treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. She loved her granddogs, enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the casino

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 3^rd from 2 pm to 4 pm in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street. Her funeral service will be held Monday, October 4^th at 11 am in the funeral home.  Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
