Mary E. Noone

Mary E. Noone, 64 of Millbury, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Care One at Millbury.

Mary was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late James J. and Josephine (Friguglietti) Noone and where she graduated from North High School. She worked for the past 16 years at Walmart in Oxford where she was known throughout the store for her beautiful smile and for always being so courteous and helpful to customers. Mary previously worked as a waitress at Friendly’s and as a lunch lady for the Leicester School Department. Mary loved bingo, the casino, going to the beach, dancing, and listening to music.  Mary was very sociable and the life of any party.  She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her son, Travis M. Proal of Millbury; two grandchildren, Savannah Marie, and Giovanni Proal; a sister, Aileen Bonczyk and her husband Paul of Clearwater, FL; a brother, Robert F. Noone, and his wife Cathy of Worcester; two children she considered her own, Christopher Proal and his children, Julian and Calvin and Jennifer Proal and her children Steffany and Kaylynn; many nieces and nephews.  She also leaves several best friends, Charlotte Gabree, Linda Watson, Lucy Prachniak, and her cousin Lynn Anderson Lopez and her husband Juan in which helped Mary when she was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer and lived with them for 8 months. She is predeceased by two brothers, James Noone, Jr., and Michael Noone: three sisters, Jo Ann Nelson, Barbara Donoghue, and Margaret King. 

A period of calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2024 from 4-7 pm In the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105
