Mary Rose Shea, 62, of Worcester, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018, in the comfort of her home.
Mary is survived by two sisters, Kathleen Mary Shea-Gray of St. Petersburg, FL, and Virginia Mary Toupin of Paris, France; two brothers, John C. Shea, Jr. of Clearwater, FL, and Stephen J. Shea of Largo, FL; six nieces and nephews, Stephen W. Shea and his wife Amy, David R. Gray, Jennifer P. Gray, Erin Kilgor and husband John Kilgor M.D., Wesley Kunze, and John Shea, III; a grand nephew, Ryan Shea; many cousins and friends.
Mary was born in Worcester and was the daughter of the late, George W. and Mary Rose (Gregory) Toupin. Mary grew up in Worcester and graduated from Marian High School, later graduating from American International College is Springfield.
Following her graduation, she completed a post graduate internship with the District of Columbia city council. She then became the manager of the marketing department at Army Times magazine. She later moved to Clearwater, Florida to manage M.R. Toupin Company, a commercial restaurant equipment company, owned by her family. She later moved to New York City, where became an agent in the trade credit insurance industry. Mary returned to Worcester several years ago and began working with ARI Global, where she was a broker and vice president of the eastern region of the United States.
Mary loved to travel and was a champion poker player. She was delighted to have friends and acquaintances world-wide, as she always enjoyed socializing and entertaining. She was loved by all her family and friends.
MEMORIAL SERVICE INFORMATION UPDATE
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at 11 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church, 200 78th Avenue N.E., St. Petersburg, FL. A reception will follow.
