Marylou (Falcone) Turnbull

Marylou (Falcone) Turnbull 93 formerly of Worcester died Thursday January 21, 2021 at Lanessa Extended Care of Webster.  Born in Shrewsbury, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian (Trotta) Falcone who both died together along with 92 others in the historic 1953 Worcester Tornado, Marylou was only 26 at the time and about to be married to her late husband Roger Turnbull who died in 1997. 

In 1954 Marylou and Roger were married in Worcester and raised their two children Joseph Turnbull and Linda A. Turnbull both of Oxford.  Marylou worked for many years at the former Iandoli”s Market as a cashier, she was a faithful member of St. Stephen’s Church of Worcester for over 50 years and will be remembered by many as an avid bowler well into her 80’s, her love for gardening, cooking and most of all her daughters pool, she loved to swim.

Besides her son and daughter, Marylou leaves behind two sisters, Marion Martineau, and Anne Kennedy, and her faithful companion Buddy.  She was predeceased by her other siblings Louis, and Michael Falcone, Dot Settle, Toni Strand, and Lena D’Agostino. 

The Turnbull family would like to thank the staff and care givers at Lanessa Extended Care for such loving and compassionate care Marylou received over the past few years.   

Funeral services for Marylou will be held on Wednesday January 27, 2021. Calling hours will be from 10-11am with a service at 11am at the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. Worcester, Ma 01605.  Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery Worcester.

Due to the COVID pandemic, the use of face masks, social distancing and no contact will be observed at the funeral home and cemetery.
