Maryrose (Ricardi) Feraco, 86 of Holden formerly of 202 Plantation St., Worcester, passed away peacefully and was reunited with her husband Bill on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at UMass Medical Center surrounded by the ones she loved the most, her family.
Maryrose was born in Worcester, one of eight children to the late Thomas and Teresa (Giordano) Ricardi, was a graduate of Commerce High School and lived in Worcester all her life. Maryrose worked as a secretary in the sales department of Wyman Gordon for over 30 years before retiring in 1994. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Loreto Church.
Maryrose enjoyed crocheting and cooking and was well-known for her Italian dishes especially her meatballs. She was a tremendous host, and her doors were always open to all she loved and cared for. Her home was known as a second home to many including her son’s co-workers at Worcester Police Department, her children’s friends from Assumption College, WPI and Holy Cross and even to the lifeguards across the street at Holmes Field.
Maryrose was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and her family was her greatest joy. Times spent together, especially around the holidays, memories made over the years and the love and laughter they shared will be cherished by her loved ones for years to come.
Maryrose’s husband of 58 wonderful years, William C. “Bill” Feraco passed on September 5, 2018. She is survived by their four children, Karen Lamb and her husband Michael of Brookfield, William Feraco and his wife Susan of Worcester, Brenda MacDonald and her husband John of Worcester and Thomas A. Feraco, Sr. and his wife Carol Ann of Holden with whom she lived; eleven grandchildren, Bobby Lamb and his wife Michelle, William Feraco and his wife Amanda, James Feraco, Luccia Feraco, Bobby Spellane, Annie Spellane, Michael Spellane, Patrick Spellane, Jacquelyn Feraco and her fiancé George, Thomas A. Feraco, Jr. and his fiancé Mackenzie and Luke Feraco; a great grandson, William Joseph Feraco; three brothers, Thomas Ricardi and his wife Annette of Conway, MA., John Ricardi and his wife Jean of Vero Beach, FL., and David Ricardi and his wife Susan of South Yarmouth; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Ricardi of Holden; a brother-in-law, Frank Feraco and his wife Kathleen of Battle Creek, MI.; her lifelong friends, Frances "P" Army, who never failed to visit Maryrose daily with a cup of coffee and Donna Grasseschi whom she has known for 60 plus years both of Worcester; numerous, nieces, nephews and extended family members. She is predeceased by her grandson, Michael Anthony Lamb; a brother, Robert Ricardi; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Gloria Giaquinto and her husband Frank, Shirley Radziewicz and her husband Edwin and Barbara Domiano and her husband Robert, Sr.
Relatives and friends are invited to a period of calling hours on Monday, July 1, 2024 from 4-8 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Her services will be held on Tuesday, July 2nd with a procession from the funeral home to St. Bernard’s Church at Our Lady of Providence Parish, 228 Lincoln St., Worcester where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105
