Michael John Cronin Jr.

Retired Army Sergeant First Class Michael J Cronin Jr. 54 of Worcester died at his home on April 11, 2022. Born in Worcester, Michael was the son of the late Michael J and Theresa (Godey) Cronin. Michael is survived by his two sons Christopher and Michael Cronin and his daughter Christina Cronin, his three brothers Brian, Jason, and Sean Cronin, his two sisters Amy and Micaela Cronin, and many nieces and nephews. Michael was pre deceased by one brother John Cronin. Michael was a retired Army Sergeant First Class serving in Kosovo, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. Receiving many accommodations, Michael was an infantryman and paratrooper who served proudly wherever he was called. Michael will be remembered by all who knew and loved him as a true American Patriot who loved and served his country along with his love of planes, going to local air shows, Nascar, golf and all sports. Michael could be found attending the Auburn Sportsman’s club and events at the Marine Corps League. Services for Michael will be held on Monday April 18, 2022 at the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. Worcester, Ma 01605. Calling hours will be from 4-7pm followed by a funeral service and military honors to be held at 7pm. Burial will be held privately at the Massachusetts National Cemetery Bourne Ma on Tuesday.
