Michael Antoine Khachfi, better known by his family and friends as Michel, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on November 15, 2022 following complications from a stroke. He was 68 years old.
Michel was born in Beirut, Lebanon and immigrated to Worcester, Massachusetts in 1979. He had a passion for art and painting and worked as a cinema artist when he was young. Following his retirement, Michel would spend time gardening and taking care of his family.
Michel is predeceased by his brother Joseph Khachfe of Worcester and his parents Antoine and Marie Nassif Khachfi of Lebanon. He leaves behind his wife of 39 years, Jamile, his daughters Julie Anne Marie Khachfi of Worcester, Catherine Hanna and her husband Sargon Hanna of North Grafton, and three beautiful grandchildren, Zalin, Aryo and Ramina. He also leaves his sister Gisele Massoud of Lebanon, nephews Philipe and Habib of Lebanon, and a niece, Jackline, of Lebanon.
His smile, singing, and humor will be thoroughly missed by those who love him.
A period of visitation will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2022, from 3:00pm – 5:00pm at the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA.

The doctors and staff at UMass took great care of Michel in his final days.
