Michael H. Morrone, 64 of Worcester, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021 at UMass Medical Center with his sister at his side.
Michael was born in Worcester, son of the late Henry H. and Belinda F. “Bella” (Lebruto) Morrone. He graduated from St. John’s High School then attended Worcester State College and the University of Detroit where he studied architecture. He worked as a receptionist at Community Health Link for over ten years ending in 2020. Michael was a very kind, loving, caring person with a huge heart who would go out of his way to help others. Michael cared for many of his family members. When it came time to care for his parents he provided transportation to doctors’ appointments and managed their household and personal needs.
During the summer months you could find Michael with his sunscreen, glasses and wide brim hat cleaning the pool. He kept it sparkling for his sister’s occasional pool parties. Anytime there was an offer to go out to eat, Mike was ready. He was known for picking a lobster so clean not a morsel was remaining. It was important to him to keep good chocolate on hand. Always a support to his sister Michael generously donated his time to the American Legion East Side Post 201. To relax Mike loved watching sports, National Geographic, and the History Channel. The paintings he did with watercolors were a beautiful expression of his creativity and talent.
Michael is survived by his two sisters, Belinda R. Morrone of Worcester and Regina E. Morrone of Reston, VA.; a niece, Crystal A. Kim and her husband Cheol-Ho Kim of South Korea; a nephew, Austin Z. Morrone of East Patchogue, NY; and three great nieces.
