Michele (MacKoul) Heenan, of Worcester, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 30, 2018. Born in Worcester, she resided for a time in Georgia and then Ohio. She was predeceased by her mother, Adele (Aboody) MacKoul, her father, Michael MacKoul and a sister, Diane (MacKoul) Erickson.
Michele was a kind, loving soul who saw the good in everyone she met. She could always be counted on to share her wise and caring ways with a smile or her gentle humor. She had a smile that could light up a room. She was loved and respected by family and friends and her passing will leave a void in our hearts forever. She valued family above all.
Michele is survived by her husband of 45 years, Peter D. Heenan, devoted sons Neil Heenan and his wife Jillian of Holden, Michael Heenan of Worcester, and Christian Heenan and his wife Leslie of Spencer. She also leaves behind her grandsons, Collin Heenan and Caiden Heenan, whom she adored, a sister Barbara Putes and her husband Joseph, beloved Nephews, Cousins and Aunts.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend calling hours Wednesday, December 5, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St, and again on Thursday, December 6th from 9:00 am to 9:45 am in St George Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna Street. Her funeral service will begin at 10:00 am in the Cathedral. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in her name can be made to St George Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna St. Fr Milad Selim, will celebrate a Trisagion service during calling hours Wednesday at the funeral home.
