Mildred L. (Kay) Wheeler, 106, of Northborough, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024. Her husband, Rodney Wheeler, predeceased her.
Mildred is survived by a daughter, Judith Draper and her husband Donald of Northborough; two sons, Robert Wheeler and his wife Sandy of Shrewsbury and David Wheeler and his wife Linda of Blandon, PA; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Wheeler wife of her late son Donald Wheeler of Boxboro; fifteen grandchildren, Scott Wheeler, Paula Meyer, Kevin Wheeler, Dawn Marie O’Reilly, Mark Wheeler, Richard Wheeler, Sandra LoPriore, Denise Rodriguez, Alison Draper, Nathan Draper, Kim Currier, Michele Lang, Pamela Barbour, Tracy Gafel and Joann McMichael; many great and great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six siblings. Mildred was born in Worcester, daughter of Alfred and Blanche (Peters) Kay. She attended Worcester public schools.
Mildred worked as a secretary for the Counseling Center of Worcester. She later retired to help her family. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Westborough; having previously belonged to Covenant-Saint Andrew Church in Worcester, and while residing in Florida, she worshiped at Venice Isle Covenant Church. She enjoyed BINGO and cribbage.
There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, April 13, at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 120 West Main Street, Westborough, MA 01581. Interment will be held privately, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Covenant Saint Andrew United Methodist Church, 24 Hamilton Street, Worcester, MA 01604 , or to the Venice Isles Covenant Church, 101 Via Veneto, Venice, FL 34285.
