Miles J Moore

Miles J. “Uncle Miles” Moore, 53, of Woodbridge Virginia, formerly of Worcester, passed away Sunday, March 20th 2025 from injuries suffered when he was struck by two vehicles while crossing the road in Virginia.

Miles was born in Worcester, June 19, 1971, the son of the late, Jessie Browning, Jr. and Joyce Ann (Harper) Moore. He grew up in Worcester, a member with his family of Belmont AME Zion church and graduated from Burncoat High School. Miles then served in the Mass Army National Guard before moving to Virginia where he has lived many years. Miles worked in sales for several companies over the years.

Miles is survived by his life partner, Jennifer Warnasch; two sisters, Jacqueline Moore and her significant other, Keith Chester and A. Michelle Moore all of Worcester; a brother, Gregory L. Moore and his wife Julie of Shrewsbury; Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A proud Worcester, MA native, Miles, affectionately was called, "Uncle Miles" for his love and support of young people. He loved and touched many people's lives with his charismatic, kindhearted, loving nature. Miles loved to sing and dance whenever he could. He notably at one time sang and danced on stage with New Addition at the Centrum. In his youth he could regular be found at the former Cahoots and Sha booms. He loved his family and found great joy, being around them telling stories, making people smile and be happy. He also loved to cook and help anyone who needed a hand.

Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family, Sunday, April 13th from 1 pm to 3 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. His funeral service will follow at 3pm. Burial will be private. Family requests flowers be omitted.
