Minnie (Ritacco) Pascarelli

Minnie F. (Ritacco) Pascarelli, 88, a lifelong Worcester resident, devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away with loved ones gathered at her side, Thursday, January 5, 2023.

Minnie was born in Worcester, March 20, 1934. She was the daughter of Charles N. and Lucrezia (Petrone) Ritacco, she was raised and educated in Worcester, and she lived in Worcester County her entire life. Minnie worked many years for the University of Massachusetts Medical School in various positions retiring as Payroll Supervisor, and also worked part time at Fallon Clinic as a Patient Greeter, and Receptionist for many years.

Minnie is survived by her three children, John C. Pascarelli and his wife Debora of Worcester, Joanne F. Pascarelli-Danna of Northborough, Charles "Chuck"  F. Pascarelli and his wife Denise of Chapel Hill, NC.  two sisters, Mary Lou Cowles of Westerly, RI, and Charlene Gaca of Northboro; seven grandchildren, Heather, Justin, Jon, Matthew, Maria, Jared, and Brianna; five great grandchildren, PJ, Ava, Rogan, Allison Mae and Elizabeth Rose;  her pet maltipoo and constant companion “Luke”,  former son in law, Robert Danna Jr, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Minnie was predeceased by her sister Phyllis Misakian, and her former husband of 30 years John A. Pascarelli.  

Minnie was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Church. The Red Sox were a lifelong passion of hers. She was always impeccably dressed and fashion perfect. She took immense pride  in her appearance and her family. She loved to laugh, and with her sharp sense of humor she tried to make everyone she encountered  laugh along with her.  She loved watching old movies, dancing, cooking, and ice skating in her younger days.  Mentioning real hot fudge sundaes to Minnie would prompt a long  "ooooh" from her. She would raise her brows, and her eyes would light up with delight. Minnie also had great memories of travelling to the Caribean with her oldest granddaughter Heather. She had a kind heart, a bright beautiful smile, and a friendly word for all.

In keeping with Minnie’s request a private  memorial service, with family only, will take place January 21st 2023 at 1PM at Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel. There are no calling hours.
