Nancy (Root) Bovenzi

Nancy (Root) Bovenzi, 82, longtme Worcester resident passed away in her home, Sunday, January 3, 2021 with her devoted grandson by her side.

Nancy was born April 21, 1938 in Providence, Rhode Island, the daughter of Charles A Root, Jr., and Helen S. (Rixford) Root.  Raised and educated in the Blackstone Valley section of Uxbridge, she graduated from Dean Junior College, settled in Worcester to raise her family and has lived here ever since.

Nancy is survived by her three daughters, Karen Bovenzi, Sandra Christo, and Bernadette Bovenzi; a sister Dianna; eight grandchildren; twin great granddaughters; many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Nancy enjoyed reading, watching the Hallmark channel, and being with her family, especially her grandchildren. As a young girl she found an affinity for light houses on her summers on Nantucket and ever since has enjoyed their scenic beauty and charm.

Out of an abundance of caution, funeral services and burial in Notre Dame Cemetery are private. Memorial contributions in her name can be made to the St Agnes Guild Daycare, 19 Harvard Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
