Nicholas G. Mitchell, Sr.

April 22, 1938 — July 29, 2019

Nicholas G. Mitchell, Sr., 81 of West Boylston, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 29, 2019 at UMass Medical Center in Worcester.
Nick was born in Worcester where he graduated from Commerce High School. He was one of three sons of the late George and Mary (MacKoul) Mitchell. Nick loved to work and continued to work up to his death. He was the service manager of Sunnyside Ford Quicklane in Holden for almost 15 years. Previously, Nick worked at various car dealerships in the area including Charles Chevrolet and Harr Lincoln Mercury. He lived in Worcester most of his life before moving to West Boylston in 1994.
Nick’s beloved wife Paula J. (Bregou) Mitchell passed away on August 1, 2009. Before he was married to Paula, he was married to his beloved wife Priscilla P. (Adamonis) Mitchell who passed away on March 19, 1993. Nick is survived by three children, Nicholas G. Mitchell, Jr. and his fiancé Cheryl Tremblay of Shrewsbury, Pamela J. Fitzgerald and her husband John of Worcester and Michelle P. Gilman and her husband Bradley of Falcon, CO; a brother, Michael G. Mitchell of Worcester; seven grandchildren, Nicholas G. Mitchell, III and his wife Heather of Yarmouth Port, Christopher R. Mitchell of West Boylston with whom he lived, Jaclyn M. Levesque and her husband Jonathan of Leominster, Kelly E. Fitzgerald of Oxford, Samantha J. Johnson and her husband Troy of Worcester, Thomas B. and Allison J. Gilman both of Falcon, CO; four soon to be five great-grandchildren including, Alivia M., Amelia M. and Aubriella R. Mitchell , and Jonathan “JJ” M. Levesque, Jr.; a son-in-law, Franklin E. Robertson, of Port Saint Lucie, FL; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by a daughter, Cheryl A. Robertson in 2010 and a brother, Eli G. Mitchell in 2014.
Relatives and friends are invited to a period of calling hours on Friday, August 2nd from 4-7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will be private. The family has asked that flowers be omitted.
