Nicholas J. “Nick” Perrone, 36, of Worcester a gifted and enthusiastic chef, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, December 18, 2022, in his sleep, suffering a pulmonary embolism.
Nick was born in Worcester, November 4, 1986, the son of Nicole J. Perrone. He graduated from Worcester Vocational Technical High cooking program, then furthered his cooking interests earning his degree from Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island. He then began a career in food, as a chef for the Ed Hyder’s Mediterranean Market Place company for the past 20 years.
Nick is survived his mother, Nicole; his brother and best friend Joshua Perrone; His longtime girlfriend Lisa Pepin; maternal grandparents, Nicholas “Nick” and Frances Perrone of Worcester; aunts, Debbie Perrone and Sandra Krause; extended family and many friends.
Nick’s life revolved around food and cooking. From a young age, Nick was always interested in food and its preparation and enjoyed every minute of his craft. As could be expected the holidays were Nick’s favorite. Hosting lavish celebrations of food display and delicacies he prepared were pride filled events. He enjoyed camping and board games with friends, playing video games with Joshua and he had an extensive collection of games.
A period of calling hours will be held Monday, December 26th from 3 pm to 6 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St, followed by a celebration of life service at 6 pm. Burial will be private.
