Noella Eva (Gervais) Tambolleo, 86 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at UMass Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Noella was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late John and Eva (Lavallee) Gervais. She was a lifelong resident of Worcester, who worked as a custodian for the Worcester Public Schools for 22 years before retiring in 2006.
Noella was an independent, giving and funny woman who knew how to have a good laugh, appreciated an excellent Mai Tai, and sweets. Family was the most important part of her life. She also loved the beach, shopping, and feeding the neighborhood wildlife.
She is survived by three sons, Steven Tambolleo and his partner Paula of Groton, Kenneth Tambolleo and his wife Barbara of Worcester, and Gary Tambolleo and his wife Peggy of Worcester; her daughter, Cynthia Martelli and her husband Dennis of Northborough; twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and her four-legged granddaughter Zuni; her goddaughter, Joyce Gervais of Worcester and a close cousin, Norman Gervais of Washington. She was predeceased by a grandson, Steven Tambolleo, Jr. and three brothers.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 4-7 pm at the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023 with a procession from the funeral home to Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 23 Fales St., Worcester where her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: American Red Cross, PO Box 37839, Boone, IA 50037-0839.
