Norman G. Prunier, Jr., 63 of East Wareham, died on Monday, February 28, 2022 at Tufts Medical Center from complications of a head injury sustained from a fall on January 23, 2022.
Norman was born in Worcester, a son of the late Norman G. and Carole A. (Flagg) Prunier, Sr. He graduated from North High School, Class of 1977. Norman grew up in Worcester and lived in Oxford before moving to East Wareham 22 years ago. He worked as a seafood manager for Shaw’s Supermarkets on Cape Cod for many years before retiring. Norman enjoyed fishing, jet skiing, and spending the winter months in Florida. He loved his family and all his dogs, Bunzy, Sadie, Athena, Princess and Buddy and the ones that went before him Hercules, Skippy and Jake.
Norman is survived by his wife of almost 42 years, Joanne R. (Gonet) Prunier; five sons, Paul Prunier and his wife Amy, Joe Prunier and his wife Christine, Sean Prunier, Andrew Prunier and Adam Prunier all of Cape Cod; a sister, Darlene Nocella of Westminster, CO; a brother-in-law, Joseph Gonet and his wife Dadene; a sister-in-law, Theresa Prunier of Boylston; nine grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a brother, Mark Prunier.
A period of calling hours will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 4-7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his name to: St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
