Normand Lussier, 68, of Millbury passed away at home, Friday, January 20, 2023, surrounded by the ones he loved after a valiant battle with cancer.
Norm was born in Worcester, one of five children of Joseph “Oscar” and Cecile (Elie) Lussier. He was raised in Millbury, and married the “love of his life” Debra Miller on June 7th, 1975. They then began a 47 year love life of faith, family and devotion, 45 years of those raising their family in Millbury. Normand worked as a corrections officer for the Massachusetts Department of Corrections retiring in 2009. He then started a small lawncare business that he and Deb maintained for many years.
He is survived by his love, Debra; daughter, Jennifer L. Bohanan of Millbury and her partner John, his son, Norman Lussier of Worcester and his partner Julisa; his cherished grandchildren, Ariana Lussier, Cody Bohanan, Taylor Bohanan, his extended grandchildren Zach, Alli, Lily, Cara and Matty; his former son-in-law, Matt Bohanan, two brothers Paul and Denis Lussier of Maine; three sisters, Claire Vine of Attleboro, Gisele Norton of Virginia, and Renee Skaggs of Norwell; his mother in law, Doris Miller of Millbury; brothers and sisters in law, Rick Miller, Andrea Miller, Linda Swift, who was always there to help, Patricia Gauthier and her husband, Greg, whom Norm considered his brother, best friend and partner-in-crime; his beloved pet and best friend Harley; nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Normand was a Harley Davidson enthusiast. He enjoyed all the rides to Laconia during Bike Week, family vacations at Hampton and long walks along the beach, fixing mowers with the captain, working out at the gym, watching hockey playoffs on “the deck”, Sunday “Harley boat” rides on Lake Singletary, all those nights by the fire pit, and attending to his impeccably maintained yard. Normand found great joy and pride attending and watching his grandchildren’s sports games and having them around him all the time. If he was not at home or busy doing something with his family you could find him hanging out with his buddies at DeOrsey’s Garage.
