Olga “Tata” Maignant, 83 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus.
Olga was born on January 11, 1941 in l’Asile, Haiti, a daughter of the late Rose Helen Maignant. She was a devout, loving Christian. She worked as a businesswomen in Haiti, operating many shops over the years.
Olga is survived by a daughter, Mireille Maignant Laude of Paris, France; and a son, Hilaire Maignant of Worcester. Seven grandchildren, Nathan Laude, Leinz Laude, Paul Laude, Marc Antoine Laude, Harley Matthew Maignant, Hillary Jeanise Maignant, Gaëlle Calixte; and two great grandchildren, Noham Laude, Shad Laude; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by four brothers, Toussaint Maignant, Faustin Maignant, Lenet Maignant, Gabin Maignant; two sisters, Valery Maignant, Hélène Maignant; a son, Franz Maignant; and a daughter, Guerline Maignant.
Relatives and friends are invited to a period of calling hours on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 5-8:00 pm in the First Haitian Baptist Church of Worcester, 60 Ellsworth Street, Worcester. Her Funeral Service will be on Saturday, March 9, from 9-11:00 am in First Haitian Baptist Church of Worcester, 60 Ellsworth St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery & Mausoleum.
