Alfego and his wife Maryann of Shrewsbury; a devoted sister, Lorraine “Lori” Caledonia and her husband Richard of Franklin; two step-daughters, Lynn Gullbrand Wilkinson and her husband Thomas of Hubbardston, and Cynthia Gullbrand Regan and her husband James of Woonsocket, RI; her nephews, Joseph Alfego, Richard Caledonia and his daughter Francesca, Michael J. She was predeceased by her sister, MaryAnn (Alfego) Nivala and her husband John Nivala.
Born on June 1, 1951, in Worcester, she was a daughter of the late, Anthony A. and Carmella (Santoro) Alfego, and has lived here all her life. She graduated from Worcester Girl’s Trade and worked in retail all her life.
Pam was a fixture in downtown Worcester, where she was a cigar aficionado at the Owl Shop for over forty years, before retiring in 2017. She was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Church. She enjoyed going to York Beach in Maine, going to casinos, concerts, church, and traditional family holidays and gatherings. She was always up for a good cigar or Chinese take-out.
She was not blessed with her own children, so she considered her nieces and nephews her gifts from God and she was “Auntie” to all.
Her family would like to thank Dr. Morse and Donna Murgo at Beaumont Rehab and Nursing in Westborough, for their knowledge, support, and friendship. They also want to thank the Mastrototaro and Greene families for all their years of love and friendship. She will be sorely missed by all.
There are no calling hours.
