Pasquale V. “Chuck” Chianese, 83, of Auburn passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the family he loved Friday, November 16th, 2018.
Born and raised in Worcester, the only son of Italian immigrants, Giovanni and Antimina (Mozzillo) Chianese. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade class of 1952, as an electrician. Pasquale then joined the U.S. Navy reserve during the Korean War and began to earn his master electricians license. Pasquale began employment, continued for the next 38 years, as an electrician a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union Local 96. In 1963, Chuck married the “love of his life” and wife for the next 55 years Agnes T. Payne. Together, they began their life raising their family with love, devotion and dedication in Auburn where they have lived for over 50 years.
Pasquale is survived by his love Agnes; his children, Andrea Chianese of Auburn, Christopher J. Chianese, his wife Susan and their children, Christopher and Kelly of Paxton; two sisters, Frances Pellegrino and Mary Gamache; a brother in law, John Caprioli; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Besides his parents, a sister, Louisa Caprioli pre-deceased him.
Pasquale was a faithful active member of St Joseph Church in Auburn, the IBEW local 96, and the Brown Square Civic Association. He was a fan of all New England Sports teams, and enjoyed Cadillac’s. He was gifted with his hands and found enjoyment in woodworking, especially making furniture. In Pasquales life, his family was everything, especially his grandchildren. He made every effort to attend all his grandchildren’s activities, sports or otherwise. Pasquale had a great pride in being with them. Holidays, special occasions or anytime he could be with his family are the special memories that will be remembered.
Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Sunday, November 18th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. His funeral will be held Monday, November 19th from the funeral home with a procession beginning at 10:30 am to St Joseph Church, 189 Oxford Street Auburn, where his Celebration of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am. Burial with Military honors will follow in St John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in his name can be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 1 St Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn.
