Patricia (Cote) Camosse

October 27, 1955 — January 14, 2023

Patricia M. (Cote) Camosse, 67, a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023 surrounded by her loving family after being stricken ill at home.   

Patricia was born in Worcester on October 27, 1955, a daughter of Robert J. Cote, and the late Beverly Ann (Thayer) Cote.  Raised in Worcester, Patricia graduated from Girls Trade and earned her associates degree from Quinsigamond Community College.   She lived in Worcester and Webster before moving to Dudley in 2001.  Notably, Patricia cared for her family as well as her parents.

Patricia loved to drive and made driving her career.  She worked as a school bus/Coach Bus route driver for many years for AA Transportation in Shrewsbury.  She previously worked as a driver for the Silver Fox Bus Company.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, John Camosse; four children, Lisa Marie Scott and her companion Jason Dickhaut, and Michelle M. Camosse all of Dudley, Shawn E. Tinsley of Longwood, Florida, and Jonathan Camosse of Sturbridge; her father, Robert J. Cote of Dudley; six granddaughters she adored and found so much joy with, Ashley, Gianna, Nevada, Adilynne, Emma, and Kylie.  Patricia also is survived by four siblings, Michael R. Cote of Bourne, Robert J. Cote, Jr. and his fiancé Lisa Cantara of North Brookfield, Richard S. Cote and his fiancé Linda Benson of Clinton, Elizabeth Goodall and her husband Arthur Breault of Punta Gorda, Florida; Many nieces and nephews, including Kimberly who was always there when needed; other extended family members and friends.  A son, Jamie Camosse predeceased her in June 2022, her sister, Michele Cote in May of 2018 and her mother, Beverly in 1990.  

A wonderful woman, with a huge heart and bright smile, she loved to drive and enjoyed her driving profession immensely.  Patricia and John were also Harley Davidson Motorcycle enthusiasts and could regularly be found on their Harley Road King, on Sunday rides, trips to Maine and New Hampshire, Bike week in Laconia N.H. or Daytona Beach, Florida.   Patricia also loved camping with her family to Cape Cod, New Hampshire, and Maine. Patricia also enjoyed her yard, garden, and flower beds, which were impeccably cared for and manicured.  

She loved life and her family and had her greatest moments with them. 

Calling hours for Patricia will be held Sunday, January 22, from 1 pm to 4 pm followed by her funeral service at 4 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St.   The burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in her name can be made to the Massachusetts Special Olympics, 512 Forest Street, Marlborough, MA.  www.specialolympicsma.org/donate
