Patricia A. (Stubbert) Fitzpatrick, 70, a life-long Worcester resident, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 18, 2019, at Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her loving family. Her loving husband of forty years, John F. Fitzpatrick, predeceased her in January 2005.
Patricia is survived by five children, two daughters, Kelly A. Ruttencutter and her husband Paul of Auburn, and Shannon Fitzpatrick of Worcester; three sons, Kevin J. McNamara and his wife Katrina, Brian P. McNamara, and Michael F. Fitzpatrick and his wife Kim, all of Worcester; ten grandchildren, Amanda, Shane, Michael, Lexy, Katie, Brian Jr., Kayla, Shae, Connor, and Ciaran; a great grandson, MJ. She is also survived by three brothers, Robert and James Stubbert, both of Worcester, and Raymond Stubbert in Texas; three sisters, Kathy Carney of Worcester, Donna Smith in Florida, and Joanne Rose in Nevada; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Ann Aucoin. Patricia was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Robert and Florence (Breen) Stubbert.
Patricia retired from Lincoln Nursing Home where she was supervisor of housekeeping. Prior to that she worked as a waitress at the Wind Tiki Restaurant in Webster Square which was her favorite place to work. After retirement, she owned and operated “The Poet’s Den”, a second-hand store on Millbury Street alongside her husband.
Patricia enjoyed time with her family and was a loving grandmother to the ten beacons of light and love that are her grandchildren. She attended Our Lady of Good Counsel Church with her family and enjoyed BINGO, shopping, exploring yard sales, and exercising at the YMCA.
Calling Hours will be on Wednesday, January 23rd , from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Her Funeral will be on Thursday, January 24, departing the funeral home in procession at 10 a.m. for a 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester Street, West Boylston (at the intersection of routes 12 and 140). Interment services will be held privately.
