Patricia (Cross) Giorgio

Patricia H. (Cross) Giorgio, 84,  of Charlton, Ma., formerly of  East Brookfield, passed away suddenly at home, Friday, July 14, 2023, reuniting her with her loving husband of 62 years, Francis “Don” Giorgio, Sr., who passed away in 2020.

Patricia was born in Worcester, the daughter of Harold and Margaret (Milosh) Cross. Raised and educated in Worcester, Patricia married Don, the love of her life,  in 1961, and began a life as the matriarch of her family.  She cherished her role as wife, mother, and grandmother. She truly loved caring for children, and she extended her caring and nurturing ways to the day care children for whom she cared. Her home was always welcoming, and a gathering spot for her family, children’s friends and anybody that stopped by.  

Trish is survived by her five children; Francis “Don” Giorgio Jr. of Glenburn, Maine, Dana M. McDonald and her husband James, Kenneth J. Giorgio and his wife Diane, all of East Brookfield, Maria Notley of Charlton, with whom she lived, Kevin S. Giorgio and his wife Angela of Charlton; a sister, Joan Richard of Sutton; brother, Kenneth Cross of Warner Robins, GA; five cherished grandchildren, Katie, Stephen, Diana, Marci Rose, and Francesca, as well as nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.  She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Don, and two sisters, Kathryn Cross and Gladys Dufresne.   

Trish took pride in creating a warm and nurturing home for her family. She especially enjoyed decorating, cooking and baking around the holidays, making everything special with her own touch. Trish enjoyed vacationing in the White mountains and Hampton Beach. She also enjoyed shopping, shopping, and more shopping. Trish  also liked to work outdoors, especially tending her garden, making it an extension of her home. Patricia was loved by many, and will be missed by all who knew her.    

A period of calling hours will be held Thursday, July 20th from 9:00 am to 10:15 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. followed by a procession to Our Lady of the Angels Church,  1222 Main Street where her funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am.  A burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
