Patricia M. Richards

Patricia M. (Bucciaglia) Richards, 93, formerly of Rutland, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Saint Mary Healthcare in Worcester. She was predeceased by her loving husband of sixty-three years, Eugene “Gene” J. Richards, predeceased her in December 2016.

Patricia is survived by five nieces and nephews, Kelly Lanier, Lori Caravalho, Susan Gravel, Theresa Pike, and Paul Capuano; many grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Phyllis Capuano and by a nephew, Mark Healy. Patricia was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Anthony and Mary (DeMatteo) Bucciaglia, she was educated in the Worcester Public Schools. She and Gene later moved to Rutland, where she resided for fifty-two years, before returning to Worcester in 2018.

Patricia worked as a customer service supervisor for many years with the former Mechanic’s Bank in Worcester. While living in Rutland she was a member of Saint Patrick’s Parish.

Calling Hours will be on Friday, November 22, from 11 am until her Funeral Service begins at 12 pm, all occurring in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Interment will follow at Saint John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
