Paul J. Brunelle, 91 of Worcester, a loving husband, father and grandfather passed away surrounded by his adoring family on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 in Life Care of Auburn. Paul was born in Worcester, one of nine children to Arthur and Catherine (Duggan) Brunelle. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School and has lived in Worcester all his life. Mr. Brunelle enlisted in United States Army during the Korean war, and after two tours of duty, and was honorably discharged in 1951. Paul worked 38 years for Heald Machine Co. a division of Cincinnati Milacron before retiring in 1995. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Christina M. (Dente) Brunelle; two sons, Stephen P Brunelle and his wife Laurie of Worcester and Joseph J. Brunelle and his wife Sally of Worcester; five grandchildren, Michael and his wife Tiffany, John and his fiancée Erin, Alissa and her husband Jason, Erica and her husband Richard and Katelyn and her husband Shawn; eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by six brothers, Ray, Francis, Roland, Philip, Edward and Arthur Brunelle and two sisters, Catherine Brunelle and Mary Studley. An avid New England Sports Fan, Paul will be remembered by his family for his gift of time by never missing a game or an event for his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed volunteering as a coach for the Jack Barry Little League. He enjoyed family gatherings, going to the casino and spending vacations at Lake George, NY. Funeral services and burial at St. Johns Cemetery in Worcester were held privately. Arrangements have been entrusted to MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, Worcester.
