Paul J LaViolette

March 22, 1958 — June 2, 2018

Paul J. LaViolette, 60 of Brookfield, formerly of Grafton Hill passed away Saturday, June 2nd 2018 unexpectedly. 

 

Paul was born and raised in Worcester, one of eighteen children of Bernard L. “Bernie” and Dorothy C. (Bouley) LaViolette.  He was educated at Worcester Boys Trade and lived most of his life in Worcester before moving to Brookfield in 2004. 

 

Paul worked in the automobile industry in sales and repair all his life.    Most recently he owned and operated Payless Auto in Shrewsbury before retiring.  

 

Paul is survived by the Love of his Life and wife of over 27 years, Donna (DeCell) LaViolette; his beloved four children,  Savannah M. LaViolette of Millbury, Brandon N., Monique P. and Kylie R. LaViolette  all of Brookfield;  two adoring grandsons, Jayden Wehbe and Dante Vosburg; six brothers, Francis B. LaViolette of East Brookfield, Mark R. LaViolette of Worcester; James G. LaViolette of Oakham, John R. LaViolette of Holden, Peter K. LaViolette of Leicester, and Joel T. LaViolette in Ft Lauderdale; ten sisters, Cecilia D. Steinstra and Lois M. Ferrandino both of Douglas, Anne M. Thebeau of Charlton, Jeanne L. Iovieno, of Worcester and Betty T. Whiteaway, and Lynn M. Batista both of Holden, Irene R. Sjogren of Worcester, Ellen J. LeBoeuf of Barre, Gail L. Sarty of Sterling and Amy L. LaViolette of Worcester: Numerous Nephews, nieces, extended family and many friends. Besides his parents, a brother Ralph P. LaViolette pre deceased him.

 

Paul was a member of the United Steelworkers Union Local 12.  A member of an extremely large family, he was a humble man, who worked hard, was selfless of himself, nurturing to his family and others.  He had a quick wit, loved to joke and was the life of the party.  Paul’s inspiration in his life beyond his wife and children was his grandchildren.  He enjoyed spending any moment he could be with his grandsons. 

 

Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours, Thursday, June 7th 2018, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the MERCADANTE Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St. He will be buried privately.  A celebration of life gathering will be held Saturday June 9th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Cross Point Church 155 Leicester Street, North Oxford. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances can be made to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave, Waltham, Mass
