Paula Marie Bovenzi

Paula Marie (Crowley) Bovenzi, 59, of Worcester, passed away unexpectedly at UMass Hospital, on Thursday, November 4, 2021, after a sudden illness.

Paula is survived by her wonderful family, including her husband of twenty-nine years, Michael J. Bovenzi, their two daughters, Michaela M. Bovenzi and Amanda M. Bovenzi, all of Worcester; two brothers, Thomas Crowley of West Boylston and James Crowley of Worcester; two sisters, Catherine Testa of Worcester and Maureen McKnight of Texas; many nieces and nephews; two great nephews and a great niece.  Paula was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Michael and Patricia (Hunt) Crowley and has lived here all her life.  She graduated from Burncoat High School, class of 1980 and later from Fanning Trade, with an associates degree in nursing.

Paula dedicated her career to caring for others and was passional about her work as an LPN.  She had most recently been working at Holden Nursing Home, having previously worked, for over twenty-five years, at the former Providence House Nursing Home in Worcester. 

Paula and her family were members of Our Lady of Loreto Church.  She was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her daughters, especially on a “girl’s night” or “game night”.  She loved all Boston sports teams and was an avid reader.

Calling Hours will be on Monday, November 8, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.  Her Funeral will be on Tuesday, November 9, departing the funeral home at 9:35 a.m. in procession to a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Loreto Church, 33 Massasoit Road, Worcester.  Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
