Paula (Delaney) Hind

September 5, 1950 — December 22, 2020

Paula M. (Delaney) Hind, 70 of Northborough, formerly of Worcester, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 after a period of declining health.

Paula was born on September 5, 1950, one of eight children of Francis and Carmella (Lanzillotti) Delaney.  She graduated from Commerce High School and lived in Worcester until moving to Northborough.

Paula worked many years as an office manager for the Legal Assistance Corporation of Central Massachusetts, before retiring. Also working many years at OTB News in Millbury Center.

Paula is survived by her only daughter and best friend, Amy L. (Hind) Saniuk and her husband Nick of Northborough; four siblings,  Michael L. Delaney and his wife Rose,  Joseph P. Delaney and his wife Elizabeth, Marie Delaney, and her fiancée Paul Renaud all of Worcester, Stephen F. Delaney and his girlfriend Kathy of East Hampton, MA; two grandchildren she was so proud of Zachary and Ryan Metivier;  a brother in law, William “Bill” Ryan; Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family members and friends.  In addition to her parents, two sisters, Kathleen M. Ryan and Patricia Delaney and a brother Andrew Delaney all predeceased her.

Paula was a woman with an infectious laugh, a great sense of humor, a woman who was very private but would be there for you any time you needed her to be.  She cherished being part of a big family.  Special Occasions, the holidays and family gatherings were something she looked forward to.   Spending time with her daughter Amy and especially her grandchildren Zach and Ryan were the greatest moments in her life.  Spending as much time with them as she could and keeping her fridge stocked for their surprise visits they would often make to her, going to as many of their sports games she could go to.  She loved to read, do crossword puzzles, soaking in the sun at Hampton Beach in New Hampshire or going to Galilee in Rhode Island watching the boats come in and watching football on Sundays, going out to dinner with friends and family.

Out of an abundance of caution and honoring Paula’s wishes.  Funeral services are private.   THE MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St is honored to serve the family.
