Pauline (Bucciaglia) LaRochelle

Pauline (Bucciaglia) LaRochelle, 91, formerly of Shrewsbury, passed away April 25th, 2018 surrounded by her loving family during time of passing.Pauline was born and raised in Worcester, one of six children of Samuel and Helena (Engle) Bucciaglia.  She attended Worcester Public Schools, raised her family in Shrewsbury for over thirty years and worked as a sales representative for Raschel’s Clothing in Westborough for several years before retiring. Pauline is survived by her four granddaughters Joann LaRochelle, Gina LaRochelle Leycegui and her husband Roberto, Lisa LaRochelle and Deanna Pavone and her husband Douglas, three great-granddaughters Olivia, Emilia and Margaret, daughter in law Noemi LaRochelle, a sister Josephine Dauderis, a son David LaRochelle, two grandsons, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  A son Joseph LaRochelle Jr., brothers Samuel and Anthony, and sisters Mary Lou and Helena, all pre-deceased her.  A strong, moral and sassy woman, Pauline cherished her son, Joseph, whom she considered her best friend, and her grandchildren who were her life’s inspiration.  Pauline was her proudest in life when she was with her granddaughters.  She loved to crochet, cook, play cards and bingo, and the occasional trip to the casino. A period of calling hours will be held Monday, April 30th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a prayer service in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St.  Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Anne’s Human Services, 130 Boston Turnpike Rd. Shrewsbury.
