Pearl G Largess Prunier

August 23, 1923 — February 22, 2021

Pearl G. (Pescaro) Largess Prunier, 97, a life-long Shrewsbury resident, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard A. Prunier, and her first husband, Kenneth C. Largess.

Pearl is survived by her devoted family, including her son Kenneth C. Largess and his wife Patricia, her daughter, Donna L. O’Connor and her husband John, with whom she lived,, brother-in-law, Norman Vandal all of Shrewsbury and a sister-in-law, Jean Largess of Worcester. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Kenneth C. Largess, III and wife Tracey, Tara Chisholm and husband Dan, Erin Cook and husband Jeffrey, John O’Connor and wife Michelle, Kevin O’Connor, Brian O’Connor and wife Courtney; eleven great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four siblings, George, Helen, and Edward Pescaro, and Ann Vandal. Pearl was born in Shrewsbury, daughter of the late, Joseph and Mary (Corazzini) Pescaro.

Pearl worked for Marcus Company while a student at Worcester Girls Trade and became a buyer of children’s clothing until 1952, when she left to raise her family. She then returned to Marcus in 1972 and resumed her career as a buyer for children’s, women’s clothing and accessories. She was a member of Saint Anne’s Church and the Victor Quaranta Post Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the “Golden Girls”. She loved to socialize with friends, including Thursdays at Nicholina Jane’s Lunch Club. She loved watching the Red Sox.

Her greatest pride was her family. She was fiercely loyal and protective of them. Pearl enjoyed having her family around the table every Sunday for dinner. Pearl was a regular at her grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s sporting events.

There are no calling hours.

A Funeral Mass for Pearl will be celebrated on Saturday, February 27, at 10 a.m. in Saint Anne’s Church, 130 Boston Turnpike Road, Shrewsbury. Interment will be private.

“Live Streaming” - The Mass may be viewed via “live stream” by visiting the funeral home website and selecting “live services” from the menu; scroll to service one and the stream will begin automatically.

Covid protocols will be practiced at the church, this includes social distancing, the use of face masks and “air hugs”.
