Peter D DiPadua, Sr. 95 of Worcester died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday June 22, 2022. Born in Shrewsbury, Peter was one of eleven children born to Francesco and Marianna (Impagnatello) DiPadua.
Peter leaves his daughter Debra F. Tambeau and her husband Robert, his son Peter Jr. and his wife Sharon, his honorary daughter Christi McQuade, three sisters, Nancy Rose, his twin Rosie Mahoney, Jenny Kewley, 9 beloved grandchildren, Timothy Tambeau, Lisa Tambeau, Justina Tambeau, Christin Tambeau, Charolette Tambeau, Samuel Tambeau, Peter DiPadua and his wife Brandy, Jeff DiPadua and his wife Kristi, Matthew DiPadua and his wife Christin, his beloved 12 great grandchildren, and many close nieces and nephews..
Peter was predeceased by his beloved wife Virginia (Belsito) in 2011 after sharing 64 years of marriage, his brothers Matteo, Leo, James, Pasquale, and Michael, his sisters Antoinette Ciccone and Lucy Daviau
Peter will be remembered by many for his love of family, generosity, and sense of humor. He was a skilled builder and self-employed carpenter working alongside his son Peter Jr. for many years. Peter was also a proud US Navy Veteran serving during World War ll.
Funeral services for Peter will be held from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. Worcester, Ma 01605. Calling hours will be on Wednesday June 29, 2022, from 4-7pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10am in the funeral home, followed by a procession to St. John’s Cemetery for a committal service and military honors.
