Phillip (Phillippe) Charles Posson, 75 of Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at UMass Medical Center surrounded by his beloved family. Phil was born on February 14, 1943 in Worcester, a son of the late Charles W. and Victoria (Blanchette) Posson. Phil graduated in Shrewsbury in 1961. Phil worked for Dillion Tree Service, Lovey’s Towing, Spags, owner and operator of El Rancho Drive- in, Shrewsbury Tree, Cape Cod Records, Farm Bound Publishing and Living Water Farms. Phil wore many hats: publisher, author, songwriter, arborist, Frog, Dad, Papa, Puppy, Bread man and friend. Phil enjoyed outdoors, walking and spending time with his grandchildren. Papa leaves behind his strength, adventures, sense of humor, dreams, power to keep going, simple, kind, humble spirit, the love of Jesus and be yourself. He will be sadly missed by his three daughters Chardelle Posson with whom he lived, Lynne Sizemore of Shrewsbury and Tracy Rinker of West Boylston; their mother Charlene Posson; a sister Charlene M. Lothrop and her children Wendy and Derek; six grandchildren: Kashana, Paul, Michael, Talya, Amanda and Lucas. Two Greatgrandchildren: Wesley and Leonidas. Above all Phil’s heart was full of love and his jewelry was his family. He always listened, had a story to tell, and encouraged all to keep going because somehow, someway it was going to be alright with Jesus by our side. Storms of life come but, remember the love. “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.” John 15:12. “Papas unconditional love, like Jesus Christ, will go on for generations” #PapaStrong. Services will be held privately and at a later time. MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester.
