Phyllis A. (Calabrese) Dedo, 91, of Lancaster, MA and former lifelong resident of Worcester, MA, passed away February 18, 2023, after a period of declining health. Born to the late Leonardo and Giuseppina (Catalo) Calabrese, she was the beloved wife of 57 years of the late Meo J. Dedo, Sr. She leaves her son, Michael R. Dedo (Suzanne Kelley) of Lancaster, a sister, Lucille Simone, 4 grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband, Phyllis was preceded in death by her sons Mario and Joseph Dedo and her siblings Dominic “Sonny” Calabrese, Michelina DiRoberto, and Marie Gingras.
Phyllis will be fondly remembered for the joy she found in singing Roy Orbison songs and watching Tom Brady, a.k.a. “Mr. Tush.” She also enjoyed hunting for treasures at many yard sales over the years.
Friends and family are invited to a period of calling hours on Saturday, February 25 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, followed by a prayer service at 12:30 pm, in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St, Worcester. Burial will be in North Cemetery, Holman St, Lunenburg, at a date to be determined.
