Ralph "Butch" Brooks

June 15, 1949 — March 3, 2022

Ralph “Butch” Brooks 72, of Millbury MA, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2022. Butch is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ann Brooks of Millbury, his children: Tammy Rebello of Oxford, Timothy Brooks of Millbury, Joshua Brooks of Millbury and his fiancée Britnay, five beautiful grandchildren: Amanda Martel, Emalee Rebello, Austin Rebello, Errick Rebello, all of Oxford, and Aubree Goodall. He also leaves behind several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Butch was a lifelong truck driver and loved living out on the open road. He loved to fish, spending an afternoon watching Elvis Presley movies, old westerns, and reading. Smokey and the Bandit was one of his favorite shows. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren watching their soccer games, discussing a good book, or just watching the grass grow. He also cherished his time tending to the fish pond and hanging out in the backyard with his wife.

He was the family jack of all trades and never hesitated to help anyone, at any time. Butch also worked as a landscaper and mechanic. He enjoyed spending time in the garage with his brother John who predeceased him.

As a United States Army Veteran, Butch served in Vietnam from 1967 to 1969 when he was honorably discharged. He then joined the National Guard and served for one year. He was very proud of his service and happy to serve his country.

The family would like to thank his current employer, Package Industries, for their support of Butch and his family. Also, a big thank you to the wonderful doctors and nurses at UMASS Memorial Hospital-Memorial Campus for everything they did for him to make his transition a peaceful one.
