Richard J. Domine, Jr.

Richard James Domine, Jr., of Shrewsbury Massachusetts, passed away on August 13, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. 

Rich was born on the 1st of November 1967 in Portland, Oregon and lived life as an "army brat" in different places until graduating from Ayer High School in 1985.  After graduation he joined the military and met the mother of his children while stationed in Germany.  Rich went on to work in the automotive industry in various capacities for 30 years - there was nothing he couldn't fix and was able to figure out how just about anything worked. Rich lived a life full of adventure and discovery.  He spent his 54 years of life traveling, trying new things, drinking fine bourbon, cooking for his loved ones, and making friends.  He took great pride in being able to mentor other young mechanics and in being able to give advice to all who needed it.  He loved to tell stories and learn new things all the way up to his very last days.  He will be remembered always as a loving father, son and brother, an exceptional cook, and a friend to be counted on. 

Rich is survived by his father, Richard Domine Sr.; his three daughters, Heike Domine, Samantha Domine, and Melissa Domine; his sisters, Susan Domine and Lisa Herget; his fiancée, Amy Davenport; and his niece Laurel Wade and nephew Matthew Herget.  There is a void where his impactful presence has been, and while the world will never be the same, it is better for having had him in it.

Help us celebrate a life well lived on Friday, August 19, 2022 from 4 - 6 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will be held privately and at a later date.
