Richard R. Natola, 66 of Cheshire CT, formerly of Worcester passed away peacefully Sunday, February 6th 2022, with his devoted brother and sister-in-law by his side in their Cheshire home.
Richard was born in Worcester, one of two sons of Anthony and Julia (Almonte) Natola. Raised in Worcester, Richard graduated from Sacred Heart Academy and lived in Sterling MA for 25 plus years before moving to Cheshire CT in 2005 with his mother Julia by his side and in a joint home with his brother.
Richard is survived by his brother, Thomas A. Natola, and his wife JoanAnn with whom he lived; a niece, Vanessa Donatello, her husband Justin and their children, Luca, and Liliana of Darien CT; and so many amazing extended family and friends.
Richard was a huge, Boston Red Sox fan, knew all the players by name and each of their stats for the past 60 years. He enjoyed years of cheering (mostly) on his team whether watching from home with his family or out in the stands. Music was his passion. He loved the music of the Motown, the 70’s, and good old Rock and Roll. His love of Broadway shows took him to the most famous theaters locally as well as New York City, his favorite place to be enjoying the sounds of the great white way. All who knew Richard probably know the complete sound track to The Phantom of The Opera and The Jersey Boys, two notable favorites. Richard loved his friends and family at Wolcott center day program and spent hours learning new skills and socializing with friends. When not at Wolcott Center, one of his favorite spots for taking a day trip was to the casino. Richard had a special talent for lighting up a room with his infectious smile, engaging stories and was known to add in an occasional zinger!
A period of calling hours will be held Saturday, February 12th from 10 am to 11 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant St, Worcester MA where his celebration of Christian burial mass will be at 11:00 am.
