Robert J. Bagdonovich, 85 of Worcester, a devoted husband passed away with the loved ones in his family gathered at his bedside, Wednesday, August 22nd 2018.
Bob was born in Worcester, one of three sons of John and Bernice (Malinoski) Bagdonovich. Raised in Worcester, Bob graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School, where he was an all-city football and baseball player. Bob then joined the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict serving his county proudly as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division in Alaska. Upon discharge from the Army, Bob accepted a position as a Tool & Die Cutter grinder for Morgan Construction Company for 43 years retiring in 1995. In retirement he worked as a starter/ranger for Pine Ridge and Sterling Golf courses.
Bob is survived by “The Love of his life” Marguerite (Brouillette) Bagdonovich; a daughter , grand and great grandchildren; a sister in law and brother in law, Donna and Vincent Oliveri of Worcester; a brother, John Bagdonovich Jr of Worcester; nieces and nephews. A brother, Donald Bagdonovich pre deceased him.
Bob enjoyed many things, His first love was Marguerite and spending time with her in Kennebunkport Maine in the summers and Ft Myers Beach in Florida. His second love was golf; on most days when not working, Bob could be found on the course of Pine Ridge in Oxford. He was a member of the Greendale retired men’s club and golf league.
Friends are invited to a period of calling hours Saturday, August 24th from 9:00 am to 10:30 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. His funeral service will follow at 1030 am in the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
