Robert S. Butkevich, 66, of Dallas, Texas, formerly of Worcester, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, in the Methodist Dallas Medical Center.
Robert is survived by a sister, Nancy Grillo of Naples, FL; a sister-in-law, Janet Miller of Shrewsbury; his former sister-in-law, Jane Butkevich of Sterling; nieces and nephews, Todd Butkevich and his spouse Edward Steigerwald of Dorchester, Shelley Koneczny of Dudley, and his Goddaughter, Nikki Butkevich of Sterling; grandniece Madison Koneczny and grandnephew Carter Koneczny of Dudley and his dear friend, Cordelia Peter. He was predeceased by his brother, Paul Butkevich. Robert was born in Worcester, son of the late, Veite J. and Anna M. (Swikla) Butkevich.
Robert worked for several years at the David Clark Company as a quality control inspector. He later decided to move to Dallas in the late 1970’s, where he worked in construction for various companies in Texas. He also dabbled in collecting and re-selling.
The family is grateful for the caring pastoral comfort of Sister Maria at Methodist Hospital, everyone at FMC Dallas South Med Ctr Dialysis especially Noreen and Ashley, all his friends at Dallas Housing and in the office, Betty, Mackesha, and Reba.
A Calling Hour will be on Saturday, April 30, from 9 a.m. until his Memorial Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton Street, Worcester. Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
