Robert “Bob” Shakman passed on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at the age of 66 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Bob was born in Brockton, Massachusetts in 1958, the son of Robert C. and Margaret (Rimarchik) Shakman. He was a graduate of Brockton High School, Clark University and pursued a career in dentistry at Tufts University School of Dental where he earned his DDS. Always looking for an adventure, he practiced dentistry in Montego Bay, Jamaica for 8 years, then moved to Scottsdale, Arizona and was the National Sales Director for Dupont Personal Protection, Dupont Company and for the past 20 years Bob focused on real estate investing.
During his life Bobby played competitive tennis, was a ski instructor and traveled to over 50 countries. Ever the optimist, he always believed things would work out. When Bob was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s Disease at the age of 57, he faced his illness with a positive attitude, brought humor to his situation and was very forthcoming with others about his health.
Bob leaves his sister, Alice Shakman and her husband David Long of Shrewsbury, MA; his beloved stepson, Philipe Soares and his wife Regiane and their daughter Zoey of Scottsdale AZ; and his dog and best companion “Bruna.”
Bob will be sorely missed by all that loved and cared for him.
