Robert D. Soucy

Robert “Bob” D. Soucy, 86, of Worcester, passed away in the comfort of his home on Friday, February 16, 2024.  He is reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife, Camille, who predeceased him in 2017.  

Bob is survived by his adoring family: his son Robert, his son Steven and his wife Marie, and his daughter, Karla McAuliffe and her husband Chris.  He was a loving Pepe to his grandsons Benjamin, Dominic, Vincent, Matthew, John, and Joseph.  Bob also leaves his sister Monica Sobolewski of Rhode Island as well as many nieces and nephews.  Bob is predeceased by his parents William and Alice (Roberge) Soucy, and siblings Joan Granate, Florianne Shevchuk, Delores Pulawski, Rudy Soucy, Gerald Soucy, and William Soucy Jr.  

Bob was a lifelong Grafton Hill resident.  He graduated from Commerce High School where he met the love of his life, Camille.  After high school, Bob entered the Army and served several years in the Army Reserve.  Bob cherished his career as an appliance repair man.  He founded his company At Your Service and worked for 40+ years keeping household appliances throughout Worcester County running smoothly.  

Bob loved spending time with family.  Weekends were spent camping or coaching his sons in baseball, leading Cub Scout Pack 49 and later in life cheering on his grandsons’ games.  Friday nights were often spent with his brothers at the Auburn Elks/Tuttle Post where the Soucy boys were often seen laughing raucously together.  And whether on Lake Quinsigamond or Lake Winnipesaukee, Bob loved boating and fishing and taking in the wonders of nature.  

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024.  Visiting hours with the family will be at Mercadante Funeral Home and Chapel, 370 Plantation St. from 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. followed by a procession to a 10:30 Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Loreto Church, 33 Massasoit Road, Worcester.  Interment will follow at Saint John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
