Robert A. Symonick, 70, of Shrewsbury, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep Saturday, July 6th, 2024.
Robert was born in Worcester, the son of Walter J. and Mary (Reedy) Symonick. Raised in Worcester, he graduated from St John’s High School. He joined the U.S. Army, serving in Germany during the Vietnam War. Upon discharge and return home, Robert worked for several companies including owning his own Fence Company, Echo Fence.
Robert is survived by a brother, Steven M. Symonick and his wife Maura of Auburn; a sister, Gail Symonick-Chesitis and her husband Stanley of Oxford; a nephew Michael P. Chesitis, two nieces, Vanessa and Claudia Symonick; his pet dog and best friend, “Lanee”; other extended family members and friends.
Robert, loved animals, fishing, the simple life and sports, namely watching the Red Sox and New England Patriots. The moments he shared with his family will always be remembered.
Funeral services and burial with his parents in St John’s Cemetery were held Privately. THE MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St is honored to assistant the family with arrangements.
