Robert J Zachariewicz

Robert John Zachariewicz, Sr., born July 14, 1942, of West Boyleston, MA was stricken ill at home Thursday Morning 27 July 2023 and passed away. Robert is survived by his children, Robert (Robin)Zachariewicz Jr. of Loris S.C, Deborah Zachariewicz of Webster MA, John (Shelly) Zachariewicz of West Brookfield, MA and Kenny (Rachel) Zachariewicz of Leicester, MA; Five Grandchildren, Justin and Kelle, Stephen ,Jason, and Travis; 2 Great Grandchildren, Daxton and Avery; Sisters Pollyann (Donald) Fleury of Worcester, MA and Teresa Hakenson. Robert was predeceased by his wife Helen (Ozack) Zachariewicz; parents Bronislaw and Pauline (Lapinsky) Zachariewicz; Sister Dorothy (Zachariewicz) Dahrooge and brother Richard Zachariewicz. Robert served in the United States Navy. He worked as a truck driver for over 25 years. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed fishing and boating with his son and family on the CT river and Lake George New York, he also loved walking the trails near Wachusett Reservoir. He enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit and hanging out with his best friend “Beans” his grand dog Labrador Retriever. He had a great sense of humor. He will be sorely missed! In Lieu of Flowers the family requests donations be sent to Wounded Warrior Project at https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org/ Friends may call on the family on Saturday, August 5 from 9:00 am until 9:45 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. There will then be a procession to Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster Street, Worcester, for a graveside funeral service at 10:15 am.
