Roberta A. Casey

Roberta A. (Mitten) Casey, 76 of West Boylston, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Oakdale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a brief illness.

Roberta was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Robert A. Mitten. She graduated from Burncoat High School, Class of 1966. Roberta worked as a medical records clerk for the former Fallon Clinic for 14 years before her retirement. In her spare time, Roberta enjoyed shopping and cooking and was known as a fashionista by her family.

Roberta is survived by the “Love of her Life” and husband for the past 57 years, Francis J. Casey; her two children, Laurie Desroches and her husband Raymond of Garner, NC and Matthew Casey of Rochdale; her mother and stepfather, Beverly E. (Bullard) and Charles Volent of Shrewsbury; her twin brother, Robert A. Mitten, Jr. of Tampa, FL; five grandchildren, Justin Langhill of Raleigh, NC., Bryan Langhill of Auburn, Cameron and Kiera Casey of Saratoga Springs, UT., and Nolan Casey of Rochdale; nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. She is predeceased by her sister, Diana Mitten.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 5:30-7 pm immediately followed by a prayer service at 7:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial in Saint John’s Cemetery, Worcester will be held at a later date.
