Roderick Joseph Morgan, III

Roderick J Morgan, III passed away on December 1, 2024, in Cape Coral, FL, at the age of 67. Born on January 15, 1957, in Worcester, MA, he was the son of the late Roderick J Morgan Jr. and Frances E (Levesauskas) Morgan. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Angela M Mietkiewicz.

A lifelong follower of New England sports, Roderick remained devoted to the Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins, and Celtics throughout his life. He loved listening to and creating music, finding enjoyment in both familiar tunes and his own compositions. He also enjoyed movies and television, particularly the Star Trek series.

Roderick was incredibly generous when asked, always willing to help out if someone in need reached out. He had an unwavering determination to always pick up the check at meals, a habit that became a defining quirk among those who knew him.

He is survived by his brother, Paul P Morgan and his wife Kathleen (Groccia) Morgan, along with two nephews and four nieces.

Friends and relatives are welcomed to attend a period of calling hours, Tuesday, December 10, 2024, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St., Worcester. Roderick will be laid to rest immediately following mass at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
