It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a dedicated husband, father and grandfather, Roger A. Waite, 74, a longtime resident of Holden, who passed away peacefully Saturday, January 4th 2025 surrounded by the ones he loved.
Roger was born in Worcester, the son of Roland C. and Claire (Edwards) Waite. Raised in Worcester and West Boylston, Roger graduated from West Boylston High School and served for a time in the U.S. Coast Guard. Roger was an inspector at a local machine shop and became a boat mechanic and rigger for several marinas during his career.

He had four children that he cherished, Tracy Nourse and her husband Paul of Sterling, Heather O’Connor of Oxford, Andy Waite and his wife Erin of Berlin, N.Y. and Keith O’Connor of Oxford; two brothers, Raymond Waite and his wife Lisa of Barre, and Robert Waite; two sisters, Barbara Hilsinger and her husband Harold of Spencer, Karen Cormier and her husband Ron of Worcester; six grandchildren, Amanda, Cooper, Jacob, Makenzie, Levi and Isaac; and four great grandchildren.
Roger was a loving, caring man with a handsome smile. He was sharp-minded and was able to design, build and repair just about anything. He loved to travel, camp, and fish at Cape Cod, and snowmobile and vacation at the house he built in Rangeley, Maine. His family will always treasure the many memories that were shared with him.
