Roland Boudreau

June 26, 1922 — July 16, 2018

Roland A. Boudreau, 96 of Morehead City, North Carolina formerly of Worcester, MA, passed away peacefully Monday, July 16, 2018 surrounded by loved ones. 

Roland was born on June 26, 1922, the only child of Wilfred and Amelia (Dube) Boudreau.  He graduated from Commerce High School and furthered his education at local colleges.  He lived in Worcester all his life before moving to North Carolina.   Roland worked as a machinist many years for the Parker Metal Corporation and FRAMCO Manufacturing before retiring. 

Roland is predeceased by his  first wife of 48 years, Rita (Gillet) Boudreau who passed away in 1990, and his second wife Eleanor “Jean” Murphy-Boudreau who passed away in 2016.  Roland is survived by three children; Ronald Boudreau and his wife Arlene of Wallingford, CT, Jerald Boudreau and his wife Barbara of Sutton, MA and Marie DiBenedetto of Emerald Isle, NC, as well as 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Roland was also predeceased by sons, Kenneth and William Boudreau, daughters, Elaine and Nancy Boudreau, and granddaughter Kristyn Boudreau.

Roland was a member of the former St Margaret Mary Church.  He loved to walk and could routinely be seen walking miles to work, and the surrounding neighborhoods.  Roland liked to socialize with anyone he made an acquaintance with.  He cherished his family and had life’s proudest and happiest moments when around them.  Later in life Roland found great joy with the beauty of North Carolina, including boating, the beach and the incredible support he received there.

Funeral services and entombment in Notre Dame Mausoleum are private.  THE MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
